Seafood Gumbo
3/4 cup of flour
3/4 cup of vegetable oil
4 quarts of water
3 onions chopped
1 bell pepper chopped
1 cup of celery chopped
1 tbs of rosemary
1 lb of chopped okra
2 bay leaves
3 lbs of peeled shrimp
1 lb of crawfish
2 lbs of lump crabmeat
Blanchards Blend Cajun Seasoning
In a dutch oven add oil and flour. Stir well. Make a dark roux . When the roux is done, add onion,bell pepper and celery. Stir constantly, until onions are clear . Then add water and stir . Bring to a boil, add rosemary and bay leaves. Keep it at a medium boil for 2 hours . Bring it to a simmer and add shrimp, crawfish and okra for 10 minutes. Then add crabmeat. Simmer for 5 minutes, and season to taste with Blanchard’s Blend Cajun Seasoning. Serve over rice . Eat and enjoy!!!
